JEWISHWANDERER.COM had a most unusual start. As a travel writer, I would visit synagogues and cemeteries. Soon I was interviewing community leaders in destinations where the Jewish presence was a courageous deed.
In a Tunis bazaar I met a jeweler who was the only Jew in the huge marketplace. Few Jews had remained in this North African country. Then in Papeete, Tahiti while scanning the city map I noticed the word 'synagoga' and sure enough there was one.
Moscow, Djerba, Bangkok, Marrakech, Mumbai, Delh, are only a few destinations where I met friendly people who invited me to their homes to share a meal and meet the family.
Recently, JEWISHWANDERER.COM has expanded to include non denominational destinations. This segment is called PLUS MORE.
Also, since queries are emailed regularly asking about shopping and hotels, there are now sections on JEWELRY AND DESIGNERS, CUISINE and HOTELS around the world.
Share your travel stories and photographs with Jewishwanderer.com and have your article featured in one of the sections.
Whether you are interested in exploring some of the world's most popular Judaism hotspots, or you are looking to find hints of your culture in unexpected places, purchasing a timeshare might be your ticket to securing convenient, cost-effective accommodation wherever you end up. Vacation properties are actually extremely flexible, allowing owners to trade their time at their home resort for time anywhere in the world. There are timeshares for sale from Israel to Australia and everywhere in between.
