JewishWanderer.com is about sharing and caring
and it all started during my trips as a travel writer.
Often in my free time I would visit synagogues
and cemeteries. Soon, I was setting up interviews with community
leaders in destinations where the Jewish community’s resilience
in continuing their religious convictions, was a brave and courageous
deed.
In Tunis’s bazaar, I met a Jewish jeweler
who was the only Jew in the entire huge marketplace – few
Jews, he told me, had remained in this North African country. In
Papeete, Tahiti, while studying the city map, I noticed the word
‘synagoga’ and sure enough there was one.
Moscow, Djerba, Marrakech, Bangkok, Mumbai, Delhi,
are only a few destinations where I found friendly people who either
invited me to their homes or their synagogues, often asking me to
meet their family and share a meal.
JewishWanderer.com always seems to find a place
where we can discover our ancestry and history.
Whether you are interested in exploring some of the world's most popular Judaism hotspots, or you are looking to find hints of your culture in unexpected places, purchasing a timeshare might be your ticket to securing convenient, cost-effective accommodation wherever you end up. Vacation properties are actually extremely flexible, allowing owners to trade their time at their home resort for time anywhere in the world.
